The Adams Pearmain is an excellent eating apple, first discovered in Norfolk in the early 1800’s. It has a firm, coarse, fairly dry, pear-like flesh. It is sweet and aromatic with a rich nuttiness and good balance of acidity.
These apples come from Matthew and Carol Wilson, who farm at Oakwood Farm in Sussex. They’re the owners of one of only a few small licensed orchards in the area, and have been fully organic since 1999. Matthew’s family have been growing on the land there since 1950.
This product is 100%, proudly, plastic free. Because we pick the very best fruit and veg and post it the next day, sizes and ripeness may vary. If your fruit or veg needs to ripen a little, keep it in the brown paper bag at room temperature, and if you want to slow ripening, popping in the fridge usually works. Don’t forget to wash your fruit and veg. It will usually have a shelf life of 5 days or more.
If you order your Fruit and Veg Mon-Fri by 1pm, it will be dispatched same day. After 1pm will be dispatched the next day, and if ordered on Saturday or Sunday it will be dispatched on Monday (because Next Day Service isn’t available and we don’t want it hanging about).
